Disney-Pixar’s “Cars 3” is set to debut in theaters this weekend, and the third installment of the series features voiceovers from several NASCAR drivers.
Daniel Suarez, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, and Bubba Wallace all have voice-over parts in “Cars 3,” as well as legends Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Gordon.
Suarez, who voices a character named Danny Swervez, said it was a “very good experience” to be a part of the movie according to NASCAR.com.
“I saw the movie already and it was a very good experience to be a part of this new project in my life,” Suarez said. “I don’t feel like it was hard to do, it was just new. Saying the same words and same expressions was different doing it so many times.”
Wallace, who just raced in his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, said he is “excited” about the opportunity.
“We went into the studio and at first, it was really awkward,” Wallace said. “I’ve had bad dates go way better, but we figured it out. I’m excited to see it.”
Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy reprise their roles as Lightning McQueen and Mater, respectively.
