A NASCAR championship contender got penalized at the worst possible time

Homestead. The championship four. It’s the last race of the season and all or nothing for the four remaining drivers. Not the time to be getting penalties.

According to NBC Sports, Kevin Harvick was penalized for inspection issues before last week’s race. He will miss out on 15 minutes of practice time for failing multiple pre race inspections at Phoenix.

15 minutes of practice time may seem minor, but when it is literally all riding on this one race, every second on the track is crucial.
