These guys are mating a Prius with its polar opposite to challenge super-muscle cars

The Toyota Prius will forever be considered an icon of the green car movement. It started a revolution, a cult following if you will, and it was a car that was able to make a serious statement about who you are for about half the average annual income in the U.S.

Well the guys at American Racing Headers ain’t having none of it, so they’re cramming a gas destroying 1,000 Horespower Hellcat engine in a Prius just because!

Now don’t be fooled by the exterior, there is basically nothing Prius left as this is a complete tube chassis that’s NHRA certified. There was no chance the Prius Chassis could handle the type of power the 6.2 liter Hellcat engine makes with a 4.5 Whipple strapped on top. Other highlights of this amazing build would be the six speed Tremec Transmission and beefy Midwest chassis Ford 9 inch rear end.
