His car isn’t even cold yet and some of Jr nation are looking for ways he might get back on the track. Why do I say this? Consider the tweet ESPN NASCAR analyst Bob Pockrass sent out about The Clash.

The tweet is straight-forward in talking about eligibility for the race. And even though Bob specifically says that there’s no Dale Jr, this question comes in.

Ol’ Tom B wants to know the odds of Earnhardt, Jr. throwing his name into the Clash lineup. To be fair, Jr. did say that he’ll still race in 2018, but what he was talking about was driving a couple of races in the Xfinity series for JR Motorsports, the team he owns. In a hilarious response, Pockrass put to rest any suggestion of a Jr. resurrection.

Of course, that didn’t stop another fan from recalling NASCAR drivers of the past and applying it to Earnhardt, Jr.

These people need to seriously move on.
