6 NASCAR drivers have roles in heist movie, “Logan Lucky”

When “Logan Lucky” hits theaters on August 18, NASCAR fans will see several familiar faces in the movie.

The film, which stars Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, and Riley Keough, is a heist comedy movie where three siblings attempt to pull off a robbery during the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway during Memorial Day Weekend.

Since the movie is centered around a NASCAR race, it’s only fitting that several NASCAR drivers will appear briefly in the film.

Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are security guards, while Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch are state troopers. Kyle Larson is a limo driver, and Ryan Blaney is a delivery boy.

The drivers made a hilarious video mocking each other for their performances.

Some drivers took the role more seriously than others.

“It’s all about the process,” Logano said. “I need to be able to relate with my character. I spent four days shadowing a Chico security guard. It was grueling and courageous of me.”

Kyle Larson wasn’t impressed with Logano’s character acting.

“Logano had one line,” Larson said. “And it took him like 42 takes.”

Keselowski claimed people confuse him for Daniel Craig, which of course was laughed at by the other drivers.

The drivers don’t share many lines between them, but it will still be entertaining to see them on screen.
